  Justin Bieber's role on the CSI season premiere may be his acting debut, but the teen singing sensation didn't come to the show completely blind.

"Watching CSI growing up was really fun for me and my mom just sitting in our apartment," Bieber says in the behind-the-scenes video below, which includes a sneak peek at his episode. "I liked it because you never knew what was going to happen. Now that I'm on it, it's pretty cool."
Bieber plays Jason McCann, a troubled teen who is faced with a terrible decision regarding his only brother. The decision leads to an explosive confrontation with the CSIs, in particular George Eads' Nick Stokes.
"He's very popular, and he's very gifted," Eads says of Bieber. "I think it will be cool for fans of his and of the show to see him do some acting."

Adds Bieber, "I think the fans will like it. It's high-energy ... The hardest part is remembering the lines, because the keep changing them."
