Simpson, 30, has been in NYC for Fashion Week; she debuted her jeans-wear line on Tuesday, and helped judge the Project Runway finale Thursday.
On Wednesday, she went out for dinner with her beau Eric Johnson in a skimpy black mini-dress with lace and fringe details that emphasized her curves.
Brad Goreski, stylist and Rachel Zoe Project costar, is a fan. "Everyone has their own way of expressing themselves," Goreski says Thursday's re-opening of the Chanel SoHo Boutique in NYC.
"I think she rocks it out. She wears it with confidence, she speaks to many demographics and I think that's great!"
As for Simpson's self-titled clothing lines? "I'm proud of her," stylist Rachel Zoe told Us at the event. "I've known her for many years and she seems to be doing a really good job at everything she's done!"
