Angelina Jolie to Direct First Feature Film

What Angelina Jolie really wants to do is direct  and now she's getting her chance.
The actress will make her debut as a director - and a screenwriter -- for an upcoming feature film: a romance set against the 1992-1995 Bosnian war, British film company GK Films confirmed in a statement. A start date has not yet been set.

Despite reports over the weekend, Jolie will not act in the film, a rep GK Films said Tuesday. According to GK Films' press release, the untitled film's cast will be comprised solely of "various ethnicities of the former Yugoslavia."
The Oscar-winning star and mother of six will also serve as producer on the film, which she described as "a love story, not a political statement," in a statement issued by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), for which she's goodwill ambassador. "I would like to involve as many local people as possible and learn as much as I can."

Jolie was photographed scouting for locations in Budapest, Hungary over the weekend -- with 2-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox as her companions; she also made a stop in Sarajevo, Bosnia, meeting with leaders there about the plight of war refugees.
