Kanye West, Justin Bieber, And Raekwon 'Ain't Nuthing ta [Mess] Wit'

Justin Bieber has reached a new milestone. The 16-year-old singer from Canada has been mobbed by fans at malls, achieved the most YouTube video streams, and scored No. 1 on the charts. But now, he has officially hit a hip hop plateau, recording with the legendary Wu Tang Clan rapper Raekwon and Kanye West.

The Kanye-produced remix of Bieber's "Runaway Love," featuring rap verses from Raekwon and Kanye, was released Monday, and includes a surprise.
The revamped track incorporates a sample of the classic 1993 Wu-Tang Clan song "Wu Tang Clan Ain't Nuthing ta F*** Wit."

"Twilight" star Lautner challenged to push-up duel!

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - The owner of an RV dealership recently sued by Taylor Lautner for allegedly failing to deliver a customized rig on time has issued a unique challenge to the "Twilight" star: push up or shut up.
Brent McMahon, owner of the Irvine, Calif.-based McMahon's RV, held a press conference Monday to challenge the buffed-up Lautner to settle his lawsuit with a push-up contest. That's right, whoever can do the most push-ups wins -- or at least gets some money donated to charity.
Lautner sued McMahon's last week for not delivering a $300,000 customized rig in time for the shoot of his new movie "Abduction." Lautner claims his dad, Dan Lautner, negotiated for McMahon's to refurbish a 2006 Affinity Country Coach RV by June but the dealership failed to meet the deadline.

McMahon and attorney Adam Obeid say the Lautners and their lawyers demanded $40,000 before filing the lawsuit. But they have a better idea. If Lautner shows up and wins the push-up contest, McMahon will pay him and his Shark Kid Entertainment the $40,000 to settle the case. If McMahon wins, he'll donate the $40,000 to Children's Hospital of Orange County. Not a bad stunt -- if Lautner has a good sense of humor and shows up.
"We're taking a negative and making it into a positive to benefit the sick children at Children's Hospital of Orange County," McMahon said at the press conference. He says he has other sponsors willing to chip in if Lautner appears.
How would McMahon fare against the superbuff "Twilight" heartthrob? "He works out regularly," Obeid said. "But he's a 47-year-old man. He's no Taylor Lautner."

Lautner lawyer Robert Barta turned down the push-up contest, but welcomed a contribution to charity:
"McMahon's RV's response to our client's legitimate claim further demonstrates the lack of professionalism that Mr. McMahon, his company and his employees have exhibited from the outset, and that compelled the filing of this lawsuit in the first place," Barta said in a statement.
"This suit is not about a 'customized' RV, it is about McMahon's RV's refusal to deliver the vehicle in the safe, drivable condition that was promised, as every purchaser has the right to expect. A cursory review of McMahon's RV's record with the Better Business Bureau shows that this is a repeated pattern of conduct; Mr. Lautner just happens to be a high profile customer that is holding them accountable. Indeed, Mr. McMahon, through his attorney, has already apologized to the Lautners for his and his company's conduct.
While we will not dignify Mr. McMahon's facetious suggestion of a contest to settle a legal claim with a response, we do welcome the opportunity for him to resolve this matter by making a $40,000 donation to the charity of Mr. Lautner's choice, and we will be in touch with his counsel to see if he will make good on this offer."

Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato teamed up on Arthur Ashe Kids' Day.

Do the Jonas Brothers ever take a break? On Saturday, the musical trio, along with Demi Lovato and David Archuleta, were the headliners at the 2010 Arthur Ashe Kids' Day in Queens, New York. The 15th annual event, which honors the memory of the late tennis champ/humanitarian Arthur Ashe, not only kicked off the U.S. Open, but benefitted the National Junior Tennis and Learning Network as well. Ashe founded the organization in 1969 along with Charlie Parasell and Sheridan Snyder in an effort to "develop the character of young people through tennis and education."

In addition to taking part in plenty of fun tennis-related activities, kids in attendance got to see exciting matches between professional tennis stars like Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. But the highlight of the day probably had to be the sold-out live concert, where the JoBros performed "L.A. Baby" for the screaming crowd, and Archuleta sang his new single, "Something 'Bout Love." Win Tickets to the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards!

Year after year, the MTV Video Music Awards is where the unthinkable happens. It's the kind of unstuffy ceremony where, say, Kanye steals the mic from Taylor Swift, or Britney bombs onstage in what was supposed to be her big comeback. How cool would it be to watch all the craziness go down in person?

Yahoo! Music is giving away two tickets to this year's show on September 12, plus airfare and hotel. For details on how enter and complete rules, visit Yahoo! Music on Facebook.

Meanwhile, check out Drake in the latest retro promo for the bash. The black-and-white spot shows the rapper back in the Rat Pack era, wearing a suit and skinny tie and tossing on a hat that looks like it could have been a loaner from Frank Sinatra himself, before arriving for an eagerly anticipated gig.

In real life, Drake's just one of many performers, including Usher, Justin Bieber, Paramore, and Eminem, scheduled to hit the stage on the big night.

Jessica Simpson: Curvy Christina Hendricks Was Emmys' Best Dressed

   Forget Lea, Claire and Kim.
Jessica Simpson's thinks curvy Christina Hendricks was the best dressed at the Emmys Sunday.
"Christina Hendricks is my pick for the Emmys' best-dressed lady..." she Twittered Monday. "Kyra Sedgwick comes in as runner-up!"

Like Simpson, 30, Hendricks, 35, has come under fire for her curves.

In February, a New York Times columnist slammed the Christian Siriano frock she wore to the Golden Globes: "You don't put a big girl in a big dress."
"I was like, 'Oh my God, people are so mean!'" Hendricks recently told Health magazine. "I still remember all those negative comments, despite all the wonderful positivity. That's why we're all in therapy!"

She said she is pleasantly surprised when she finds other celebs admiring her bod.
Said the actress, "It's such a compliment, because of all those times I had agents who were like, "You have to lose some weight," and all of a sudden, people are celebrating it."

Jesse James, Kat von D Step Out Holding Hands

   I wanna hold your hand!
Jesse James and new love Kat von D were photographed hand-in-hand Sunday in Fredericksburg, Tex.. (James and his three kids recently moved to nearby Austin, where his ex-wife Sandra Bullock keeps a home.)
It's the first PDA shot of the tattooed twosome -- who were seen sharing a "passionate kiss" at a museum exhibit in Las Vegas August 15.

L.A. Ink star von D (real name: Katherine von Drachenberg) confirmed the relationship via Twitter two weeks ago, writing "Yes, Jesse and I are dating" -- and then deleted the post. In a subsequent radio appearance on the Kevin and Bean radio show on L.A.'s KROQ-FM Thursday, she explained that she and James met when she was 22. "He had his show on Discovery; that's how we met. I was looking for some advice when I first started on Miami Ink," the star, now 28, said.

The tattoo artist added that she has forgiven James' widely publicized infidelity during his marriage to Bullock. "I am a believer that we're all human and we're all capable of making mistakes," she said. "I think if I were to be crucified for my drug addiction three years ago now, it would be hard to live with that. I'm sober now, and it's awesome. But I have made mistakes, too."

Paris Hilton arrested on cocaine charge in Vegas

LAS VEGAS - Paris Hilton was arrested late Friday after a police motorcycle officer smelled marijuana smoke wafting from a black Cadillac Escalade driven by her boyfriend on the Las Vegas Strip, then found cocaine in her purse, authorities said.
A crowd quickly gathered when Hilton and Las Vegas nightclub mogul Cy Waits were stopped about 11:30 p.m. Friday in the vehicle near the Wynn Las Vegas resort, police said.

The 29-year-old celebrity socialite was taken into the hotel "to keep her safe" during the initial investigation, police Lt. Wayne Holman said.
Police Officer Marcus Martin said the motorcycle officer pulled the Escalade over on Las Vegas Boulevard after noticing smoke that smelled like marijuana. Police later found a substance in Hilton's purse that tests showed to be cocaine, Martin said. He didn't say how much of the drug was found.
Hilton was arrested on suspicion of felony cocaine possession.
Waits, 34, was arrested on misdemeanor suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Both were booked into the Clark County jail, where Martin said Hilton was released without bail about 2:45 a.m. Saturday.
Less than an hour later, Hilton's Twitter account was updated with a posting that said the actress was in bed watching the television show "Family Guy," and then that she was going to sleep. It was unclear if the tweets came from her, were posted by time-release or were sent by someone else.
If convicted of the low-grade felony, Hilton would get probation. Any violation of probation would be punishable by one to four years in Nevada state prison.
Clark County District Attorney David Roger declined comment Saturday about the case.
Hilton's attorney, David Chesnoff, told The Associated Press on Saturday morning that he was still gathering facts about the arrest.

"I caution people not to rush to judgment," he said.
Waits' lawyer, Richard Schonfeld, said Waits posted $2,000 bail and was expected to be released Saturday.
Court appearance dates for Hilton and Waits were not immediately available.
Schonfeld said he was "troubled by the circumstances" leading to the arrest, but declined to specify his concerns.
"As the case proceeds, a lot of facts are going to come to light that will ultimately lead to exoneration," Schonfeld said.
Hilton's manager did not immediately respond early Saturday to telephone calls for comment. Hilton's publicist, Dawn Miller, did not immediately return an e-mail message.
A spokeswoman for Wynn Resorts in Las Vegas did not immediately respond to messages seeking comment.

Waits and his twin brother, Jesse, are managing partners of the Tryst Nightclub inside Wynn Las Vegas, Drai's after hours club at Bill's Gamblin' Hall & Saloon, and XS The Nightclub at Wynn's Encore resort. A spokeswoman for Harrah's resorts declined immediate comment.
Earlier this week, Hilton was in the news when a 31-year-old man allegedly tried to break into her Los Angeles home.
Authorities have said that someone carrying two big knives banged on Hilton's window Tuesday. She posted a photo of the arrest on Twitter and described it as "scary." Nathan Lee Parada faces a felony burglary charge.
Hilton was arrested this summer after the Brazil-Netherlands World Cup match in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, on suspicion of possession of marijuana. The case was then dropped at a midnight court hearing.
Hilton pleaded no contest in 2007 to alcohol-related reckless driving and was sentenced to 45 days in jail. After spending about 23 days in jail, Hilton told CNN host Larry King that the experience caused her to re-evaluate the role partying played in her life. She said she wanted "to help raise money for kids and for breast cancer and multiple sclerosis."
While most famous for her tabloid exploits and reality TV series "The Simple Life," Hilton has appeared in the films "Bottoms Up," "The Hottie & the Nottie" and "House of Wax."

Police: Paris Hilton arrested on cocaine charge

LAS VEGAS - Police say Paris Hilton has been arrested for possession of cocaine after officers stopped the car she was in on a Las Vegas street late Friday night.
Public Information officer Marcus Martin says Hilton was booked into the Clark County Detention Center early Saturday morning on a charge of possession of cocaine.
He says she was in a car driven by a friend that was stopped when officers noticed what they suspected to be marijuana smoke coming from it.
Martin says that during the stop officers found what appeared to be a controlled substance on Hilton and tests showed that it was cocaine.
He says he doesn't know how much of the drug was found.
Las Vegas police Lt. Wayne Holman says that Hilton was still being held around 2 a.m. Saturday. He says she will probably be released on her own recognizance later in the morning.

Leonardo DiCaprio wins stay-away order against "wife"

Just when you thought you heard it all...

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Leonardo DiCaprio has been granted a restraining order against a woman who believes she is his wife and is carrying his child -- called Jesus.
The "Titanic" and "Inception" star said in documents filed with Los Angeles Superior Court this week that he was frightened of the "delusional" woman and felt his personal safety was in jeopardy.
His lawyer submitted a number of hand-written letters from the woman, named as Livia Bistriceanu, to DiCaprio.

"Do you want to be with me for real and to be the father of Jesus? I've explained you I can't be with nobody virtually. I have to have a father in reality for Jesus not like this," read one of the letters, obtained by celebrity website TMZ.com on Friday.
The court ordered Bistriceanu to stay at least 100 yards away from DiCaprio, 35, who remains one of Hollywood's leading heart-throb stars actors despite attempts to move away from romantic dramas in film since the success of "Titanic" in 1997.

The restraining order was granted the same week that another woman was ordered to stand trial in Los Angeles on charges of striking DiCaprio with a wine glass at a private Hollywood party in 2005, and injuring his face and neck.
DiCaprio needed several stitches after the incident.
Aretha Wilson, 40, who was extradited from Canada to face the charge, could face up to seven years in prison if convicted at trial.
DiCaprio, whose next movie project is taking on the role of former FBI director J. Edgar Hoover for director Clint Eastwood, was not in court for either of the hearings.

Playboy Model Confirms Sex Tape With Heidi Montag

Playboy Playmate Karissa Shannon says it's true that she made a sex tape with Heidi Montag -- but Montag's estranged husband Pratt had nothing to do with it.
"There is a sex tape of me and Heidi," Shannon tells Radaroline, adding that Pratt, 26, was not present for the filming. "It's just me and Heidi, that's it."

Last weekend, Pratt said that he found the X-rated footage while going through things at the Malibu home he once shared with Montag, 23. According to Shannon, he not only stole the tape but the video camera in which it was found.
"He 'accidentally' took my camera," Shannon charges. "Spencer had no right to steal my camera. There are other things on there that I don't want to come out, including the video of me and Heidi."
The nude model says she didn't make the flick with Montag for public consumption, and that she doesn't "want people to see it."

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Michael Jackson's two oldest children, Prince and Paris, have started private school.
A source confirmed to Access Hollywood that 13-year-old Prince and 12-year-old Paris started The Buckley School in Sherman Oaks, Calif., on Wednesday.

The late singer's youngest child, Blanket, will remain homeschooled because Katherine Jackson believed it was the best option for the 8-year-old.
The Buckley School is a favorite for Hollywood parents. Some past celebrity alums include Paris and Nicky Hilton, Nicole Richie, Kimberly Stewart, Matthew Perry, Alyssa Milano, Rashida Jones, Natalie Cole, Nicollette Sheridan and Laura Dern.

Nicole Richie Goes Back to Blonde

The former reality star, 28, showed off her new shorter, blonder 'do on her official Web site Thursday.
So what made the former reality star say goodbye to her chocolate locks?
"Last night we played Clueless. Andy [Lecompte] and George [Papanikolas] played Cher & Dionne, and I played Tai [who was played bythe late Brittany Murphy]," she blogged Thursday. "'Aahhh!! Project!'"

"I change my hair color all the time, and I hadn't done it in a few years," she says. "With the babies, I just really hadn't had time. I'm so used to having that change all the time, and I hadn't done it in about two years, so I was just ready and sick of being blonde!"

Mayor: JLo, Anthony want to build PR film studio

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico - A Puerto Rican mayor says husband-and-wife pop stars Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony hope to transform his northeast coastal city into the Hollywood of the Caribbean.
Fajardo Mayor Anibal Melendez said Thursday that the singer-actors — both born in New York to Puerto Rican families — want to build a state-of-the-art soundstage in Fajardo to attract more A-list movies and TV shows to the U.S. island.
Melendez says the proposal for Fajardo is still in its infancy. But he said Lopez and Anthony voiced "a lot of enthusiasm" for the project when he met with them recently in Miami.
Publicists for the couple decline comment.
In 2006, Lopez and Anthony teamed up for a movie on Puerto Rican salsa legend Hector Lavoe.

AIDS activists file complaint against Larry Flynt

LOS ANGELES - An AIDS activist group filed a workplace safety complaint against Larry Flynt, accusing the porn king of creating an unsafe environment for his stable of sex stars by not requiring they use condoms.
To illustrate its point, the AIDS Health Foundation also delivered 100 DVDS of hardcore Flynt films to the state Division of Occupational Safety and Health's Los Angeles office on Thursday. Only a single scene in one of the films shows a performer using a condom, said AHF spokesman Ged Kenslea.
The films, most with innuendo-laden names, "clearly demonstrate workplace activities highly likely to spread bloodborne pathogens in the workplace," the complaint says. It urges the state agency to order the use of condoms on film sets.

Larry Flynt Productions President Michael Klein indicated that is an unreasonable demand, adding porn audiences don't want to watch people using condoms.
"We won't budge when it comes to condomless productions," he said in a statement. "That's what the consumer wants, and we deliver it."
Federal law requires that all porn actors be tested for HIV 30 days before the start of filming, and Klein said Flynt's productions adhere to those standards. He added that none of the company's actors has ever tested positive for HIV.
AHF President Michael Weinstein said his group targeted Flynt in part because he is arguably the world's most famous and successful pornographer. Hours before filing the complaint, AHF members, clad in bright red shirts, demonstrated outside the plush Beverly Hills skyscraper that is home to Larry Flynt Productions.
Earlier this year, the group brought similar complaints against nine talent agencies it says promote actors willing to have unprotected sex on camera. Cal-OSHA spokeswoman Krisann Chasarik said Thursday those complaints prompted an investigation, although she didn't know the status of it.
Depending on the nature of a complaint, Chasarik said, Cal-OSHA can launch a workplace inspection or ask that an employer prove the complaint is groundless.
"Our next step now would be to evaluate the complaint," she said of Thursday's filing.
According to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, workers in the adult film industry are 10 times more likely to be infected with a sexually transmitted disease than members of the general population. The department documented 2,013 cases of chlamydia and 965 cases of gonorrhea among workers between 2003 and 2007, and noted that some performers had four or more separate infections over the course of a year.
As many as 25 industry-related cases of HIV have been reported since 2004, the department said.

Heidi Montag's Plastic Surgery Regrets

Just when you thought all the drama of the former "Hills" couple known as Speidi couldn't get any more ridiculous -- their alleged split, Spencer's plans to direct a movie with 3D breasts, and now, the sex tapes he claims to have -- Heidi has taken it to the next level. Nine months after she packed in 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day, the busty blonde says going under the knife was the downfall of her marriage.

"Spencer begged me not to get the first surgery [a nose job and breast augmentation in 2007] and it almost broke up our relationship," Heidi tells Life & Style in a new interview. "Then he begged me not to get the second one and it did break our relationship."
After the surgery, Heidi needed help doing everything. "No one wants to be taking care of his wife -- who looks like she was in a horrific accident -- 24 hours a day, when he begged her not to do it in the first place," Heidi says. "Spencer didn't sign up for this in our marriage."
Heidi didn't sign up for those creepy crystals Spencer's been lugging around lately, either, but who cares now? The couple has legally filed for a divorce to be finalized on Valentine's Day. But when they were photographed together in Costa Rica last week, it left people convinced of what we had all suspected: the breakup was yet another publicity stunt. Heidi later told People Spencer was there to help her and her pets get settled there.

Fair enough. The order to wear the tape came from Heidi's former surgeon, Dr. Frank Ryan, who died in a car accident August 16. The aspiring pop star claims she's searching for a new doc in South America, because her size G implants are too large.

"I'm downgrading and going a little smaller, to a D or a double D," she says, adding her chest keeps her from working out and hugging her dogs. "It's heartbreaking. I can't live an everyday life." And with the death of her surgeon, Heidi admits she "feel[s] trapped in my own body. There's just no fixing it."

Lauren Conrad, reveals her style

While "The Hills" fades into reality TV history, its former leading lady Lauren Conrad is forging ahead with a career that's still going strong. The fall designs for her LC Lauren Conrad clothing line for Kohl's have just hit stores, and Tuesday she posted dates and locations on her website for her upcoming book tour.

The 24-year-old has toured before, but this time LC will be promoting not only the latest title in her L.A. Candy series, Sugar and Spice, but also her guide to personal glamour, simply called Style. Both hit bookstores on October 5, the same day she's scheduled to kick things off at a Barnes & Noble in NYC, before stopping in LA, Dallas, and elsewhere, then winding down in Cary, North Carolina.
The author -- make that New York Times bestselling author, thank you very much! -- has been enthusiastic about her latest threads. They include plenty of pretty tops and bottoms, and even a couple dresses, mostly in neutral shades, with a few notice-me, jewel-tone pieces mixed among them. "I incorporated a lot of feminine details like lace, ruffles and pretty floral prints," she blogged.

The reality TV star-turned-designer recently announced she plans to add another, more upscale clothing line and a spinoff series of books to her empire. But until then, check out this behind-the-scenes video of Lauren's latest Kohl's photo shoot.

DVD 'Censored' episode of Family Guy on sale

NEW YORK – "Family Guy" forbidden fruit will soon be available for plucking — at least, for fans prepared to pay $15 for a peek.
"Partial Terms of Endearment," a never-seen episode of the racy animated series, will be available for sale on DVD on Sept. 28 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment — more than a year after the Fox network deemed it outrageous even by "Family Guy" standards and pulled it from last season's slate of episodes.
Since then, the episode, which will not be downloadable, has gained a sort of "banned-in-Boston" notoriety. Further upping the ante is its subject matter. Bumbling, moronic Peter Griffin and his patient but libertine wife, Lois, throw themselves into the abortion debate.

The episode's narrative has never been a secret. In fact, it was performed live last summer by the cast (including Seth MacFarlane, the series' creator, who serves as executive producer, writer and the voice of numerous characters) for members of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences as well as members of the press.
Still, here's a spoiler alert for those who don't want to know what happens.
Most of the episode dwells on Lois (voiced by Alex Borstein) agreeing to become a surrogate mother for a friend who can't have a child. But after her friend and her husband are killed in a car crash, the Griffins are left with the difficult decision of whether to proceed with the pregnancy or not.

To see the episode in all its cartoon glory is to conclude three things:
_It's wickedly funny, no matter how offensive.
_It was never (at least, not in this lifetime) ever going to make it to the air of any commercial TV broadcaster. (Hmmmm. Was shooting it, then "censoring" it always a marketing ploy to super-charge DVD sales?)
_And, finally, it's recommended only for the "Family Guy" faithful. The uninitiated, the faint-of-heart and, most of all, the anti-abortion crowd should maybe choose to take a pass.

John Mayer Reveals the Truth About His Love Life

Tabloid rumors swirled this week that John Mayer is back on with Jennifer Aniston.
But during his concert Tuesday in Irvine, Calif., he took time out to set the record straight, MTV reports.
"I'm completely single!" he told the crowd.
Then, in typical Mayer style, he launched a TMI rant about his love life.
Mayer, 32, told the crowd he has a morning ritual of watching Internet porn. A specific brunette on RedTube has been his latest obsession.
Sniped the singer, "That is the dirty truth."
As for those Aniston reports, an insider.  "John is still friends with Jen, but they are not dating again. She was not at the Hollywood Bowl show he played, but it would not mean anything if she were. They remain friends but are definitely not back together."
Mayer's rep does not comment on his personal life.

Kelly and Jack Osbourne appear In Ozzy's Morbid New Video!

Somehow, everything Osbourne always turns into a family affair. For legendary, Grammy-winning rocker Ozzy, 62, that ethos seeped into his day job yet again when son Jack, 25, got behind the camera to direct dad's latest spooky clip, "Life Won't Wait," of his new Top 10 disc, Scream. But the family fun doesn't stop there: Besides wifey Sharon, 58, managing the whole affair, daughter Kelly, 26, made a party scene cameo in the clip, which was shot around L.A. -- including in an Altadena, Calif., cemetery! -- and also features Osbourne's latest backing band lineup. You know what they say -- you can move the Ozzman to Beverly Hills but you can't take the goth out of him. Er, or something like that.

German court finds HIV singer guilty

DARMSTADT, Germany – A German girl band singer broke down in tears Thursday as a court found her guilty of causing bodily harm to her ex-boyfriend by having unprotected sex with him despite knowing she was infected with HIV. She was not sentenced to jail time.
Nadja Benaissa, a member of No Angels, was given a two-year suspended prison sentence and 300 hours community service after she was convicted in a Darmstadt administrative court. She faced a possible ten years behind bars.
The court ruled that the 28-year-old had infected a former boyfriend with the virus that causes AIDS by having unprotected sex with him.
Benaissa helped her case during the trial, which began Aug. 16, by acknowledging she had unprotected sex despite knowing she was HIV-positive and saying it was a big mistake.
"I'm sorry from the bottom of my heart," Benaissa said, adding that she had realized how much her ex-boyfriend was still suffering.
No Angels were heading into a concert in Frankfurt in April 2009, when Benaissa was taken into custody and kept for 10 days — a move that a German AIDS awareness group criticized as disproportionate.
"I wish I could turn back time and make everything undone," she told the court. "But I know that he will never forgive me."
Prosecutor Peter Liesenfeld said he thought the sentence was appropriate.
"We have to remember that she was a lot younger than she is now, she had a turbulent life, and the acts were committed a long time ago," he told Associated Press Television News. "I think a suspended sentence is justified."
Benaissa left the courtroom without making any comment but her attorney Oliver Wallasch noted that she had said during the trial that she thought she deserved to be punished for her actions.
"We managed to avoid a jail sentence for my client and with the conditions of the sentence she received, including some community service which she said was justified during the trial, the sentence was satisfactory for the defense and my client," he said.

The man who claimed Benaissa infected him said they had a three-month relationship at the beginning of 2004 and that he got tested after Benaissa's aunt asked him in 2007 whether he was aware that the singer was HIV-positive.
Benaissa said she didn't tell anybody about her disease because she was afraid of the consequences — which she described during the trial as a "cowardly act."
During the trial, microbiologist Josef Eberle, who examined the viruses of both Benaissa and her ex-boyfriend, told the court "in all probability" the singer was responsible for infecting the 34-year-old man with the virus that causes AIDS.

Both were suffering from a very rare type of the virus that was first found in western Africa, he said.
Benaissa told the court she became addicted to crack cocaine at 14 and that during her pregnancy at 16, she found out that she was HIV positive.
After winning a TV talent show, "Popstars," in 2000, she joined No Angels with four other young women and hid her illness from everyone. No Angels sold more than 5 million albums before breaking up in 2003.
Along with three other members from the original band, Benaissa helped re-form the group in 2007. They performed to a disastrous response in the 2008 Eurovision song contest, coming in 23rd out of 25 contestants.

Mariah Speaks Out on Pregnancy

   Is she, or isn't she?
Mariah Carey — rumored to be expecting her first child with husband Nick Cannon — won't say yet.
“I appreciate everyone’s well wishes. But I am very superstitious," she wrote on her website Wednesday. "When the time is right, everyone will know–even Cindi Berger [her publicist]."

Pregnancy rumors swirled earlier this summer and reignited last week when the singer, 41, stepped out in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in a $140 Pea in the Pod Spaghetti Strap Halter Maternity Maxi Dress.

Nick Cannon Talks Having Babies With Mariah: 'We Would Love To Expand'

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- After a report surfaced on Wednesday claiming that Mariah Carey was four months pregnant, husband Nick Cannon continued to dodge questions about a possible baby when Access Hollywood caught up with him on Wednesday.
"When she's ready to say whatever she wants to say, she'll say it," Nick told Access backstage at "America's Got Talent" on Wednesday night when asked about his wife. "She's like, appreciating all the love that's coming out... from everywhere, but it's just like when she's ready to talk she'll talk."

As for his desire to be a dad, Nick has his sights on increasing the Cannon-Carey brood.
"That's the purpose of having a union and getting married is to have a family," Nick told Access. "Right now, her and I are family, but of course we would love to expand."

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, according to Radar Online, Mariah is four months pregnant. One Radar source claimed that Nick has been sharing the news only with close friends.
As of Thursday morning, a rep for Mariah was not immediately available for comment when contacted by Access Hollywood.
Mariah stirred speculation by appearing very pregnant on stage in Brazil this past weekend.

What Lindsay Lohan Drank Her First Day Out of Rehab

On Wednesday, Lindsay Lohan stepped out for the first time since leaving rehab.
In her hand as she walked through a Beverly Hills parking garage: ROCKSTAR, described on the company's website as "the world's most powerful energy drink."
Should the 24-year-old actress -- now in UCLA's outpatient program and undergoing psychotherapy treatment -- be downing the beverage? Like all energy drinks, ROCKSTAR is loaded with caffeine (and sugar) which can make her jittery, cause insomnia and increase anxiety. (An 8.4-ounce energy drink serving contains 280 mg of caffeine, compared with about 100 mg per 6 ounces in coffee.)

Lohan was a no-show Wednesday night at the L.A. premiere of her latest big screen effort, Machete. (Earlier in the day, a judge ordered her to reside at her Los Angeles home.)

"God bless her," actor Don Johnson says, "I care about her as a person."
Said actor Danny Trejo, "She's in control, she is professional, and she can really bring it. She is going to be all right.”

Access Top 10: Most Memorable Emmy Moments Of The 2000s!

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- TV's biggest night is perennially filled with memorable moments, especially in the last decade - from Ellen DeGeneres' movingly poignant and equally comedic quips in the first post-9/11 Emmys in 2001, to Conan's legendary opening montage in 2006, and, of course, Brad Garrett & Garry Shandling channeling Madonna & Britney with their own Emmy lip lock.

Now, AccessHollywood.com counts down the Top 10 Most Memorable Emmy Moments of the past decade...

 Access Top 10

#10 -- Jon Stewart, 2005
Comedy Central's "Daily Show" host, Jon Stewart, hosted a pre-taped sketch to address the government's response to Hurricane Katrina, while also poking fun at network censors. The result was a hilarious video of dubbed phrases and images to cover up the harsh critique Stewart had for the government, including a puppy covering his middle finger.
#9 -- Ellen DeGeneres, 2001
After the attacks of September 11, the Emmy Awards were postponed twice. Host Ellen DeGeneres gave everyone a well-needed dose of comedy with lines including, 'they can't take away our creativity, our striving for excellence, our joy,'' she said. 'Only network executives can do that.'' She also joked, "What would upset the Taliban more than a gay woman wearing a suit in front of a room full of Jews?"
 #8 -- Emmy Idol, 2005
Besides Jon and Ellen, what could beat watching Donald Trump in overalls and a straw hat singing the theme to "Green Acres" alongside Megan Mullally? The Donald held a pitchfork while the two belted out an unmelodic tune in front of a large screen showing Green Acre images. It became a moment Emmy watchers might never forget.
#7 -- Conan O'Brien, 2006
It was a jam-packed 15 minutes that included a parody of "Lost," dropping in on the cast from "The Office," a conversation with Jack Bauer of "24"and even a "South Park: Trapped in the Closet Parody." Conan made this opening one of the most memorable not only of the decade - but of all of Emmy history.
#6 -- Kristin Chenoweth, 2009
The pint-sized powerhouse took the stage at the 2009 Emmys to accept the award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Olive Snook in the since-canceled "Pushing Daisies" and took the opportunity to let Hollywood know of her availability - and the shows she'd love to star on. "I'm not employed now so I'd like to be on 'Mad Men.' I also like 'The Office' and '24,'" she said, to rousing laughter and applause. The ploy must've worked as she soon landed a recurring guest spot on FOX's "Glee."
#5 -- Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart, 2007
When comedians Stephen Colbert, Jon Stewart and Steve Carell share a stage together, there is bound to be funny moments. They didn't disappoint, when after Ricky Gervais was not present to accept his award for "Extras," Steve Carell accepted the award on his behalf, resulting in the biggest three-man bear hug in Emmy history!
#4 -- Helen Mirren, 2006
Upon winning the Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie Emmy for HBO's "Elizabeth I," British actress Helen Mirren started her acceptance speech with, 'My great triumph is not falling a** over t*t as I came up those stairs.'' Somehow, the words got by the censors, and a few minutes later Calista Flockhart and Craig Ferguson repeated it, uncensored as well.
 #3 -- Bob Newhart, 2006
Emmys have always had problems with people going over the time limit on their speeches. To stop this, they put Bob Newhart in a glass booth with exactly three hours of breathable air. If the show were to run long, the winners would supposedly end up suffocating Bob Newhart. The stunt worked and the show actually ended three minutes early.
#2 -- Heidi Klum, Tom Bergeron, Howie Mandel, Jeff Probst, Ryan Seacrest, 2008
Proving not all entries on this list are memorable for a good reason, the 2008 quintet of reality series hosts-turned-Emmy hosts was a critically panned disaster. On the heels of the Writers Strike, it was a frightening glimpse into what TV might look like without scripted bits. The show's opening painfully awkward sequence - with Jeff Probst admitting "We have absolutely nothing," and Howie Mandel following with, "This is not a bit" -- should've been hint enough that viewers were in for a rough night. Sadly, many didn't stick around to see it - the show delivered the worst ratings in its illustrious history, with a paltry 12.3 million viewers tuning in.
#1 -- Brad Garrett and Garry Shandling, 2003
After the MTV VMAs' infamous Madonna and Britney lip lock earlier in the month, it wasn't surprising that this moment would be parodied at the Emmys. The surprising part, however, was the participants. In the show opening, Brad Garrett (then highly paid as a star in "Everybody Loves Raymond") planted one on Garry Shandling, who joked, 'I just want to say to CBS, he's worth every nickel.''

Angelina Jolie to Direct First Feature Film

What Angelina Jolie really wants to do is direct  and now she's getting her chance.
The actress will make her debut as a director - and a screenwriter -- for an upcoming feature film: a romance set against the 1992-1995 Bosnian war, British film company GK Films confirmed in a statement. A start date has not yet been set.

Despite reports over the weekend, Jolie will not act in the film, a rep GK Films said Tuesday. According to GK Films' press release, the untitled film's cast will be comprised solely of "various ethnicities of the former Yugoslavia."
The Oscar-winning star and mother of six will also serve as producer on the film, which she described as "a love story, not a political statement," in a statement issued by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), for which she's goodwill ambassador. "I would like to involve as many local people as possible and learn as much as I can."

Jolie was photographed scouting for locations in Budapest, Hungary over the weekend -- with 2-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox as her companions; she also made a stop in Sarajevo, Bosnia, meeting with leaders there about the plight of war refugees.

Michael Jackson's hometown plans to celebrate his birthday

GARY, Ind. - Michael Jackson's hometown in Indiana is planning another tribute to the "King of Pop" just two months after marking the one-year anniversary of his death.
A news release issued by the city says a tribute will be held outside Jackson's boyhood home in Gary on Saturday, a day before what would have been his 52nd birthday.
Gary Mayor Rudy Clay says the city is honoring Jackson's memory as a great and giving person and as the world's greatest entertainer. The Jackson Family moved out of the city after the Jackson 5 struck it big in 1969.
Organizers say the event Saturday will include local entertainers and a Michael Jackson impersonator.

Lindsay Lohan Leaves Rehab

After 22 days of treatment, Lindsay Lohan has left rehab.

Ed McPherson, Lindsay Lohan's civil attorney, confirms, "She has been released from Inpatient rehab."
Lohan, 24, who checked into UCLA Medical Center Aug. 2 after serving 13 days behind bars, was originally sentenced to 90 days at a treatment facility for violating probation in her DUI case. According to Radaronline.com, who originally reported Lohan's release, the actress was escorted out of the facility's back door into a waiting limousine on Tuesday afternoon.

TMZ reported earlier that the actress' doctors "have already concluded her psychiatric problems are not nearly as severe as first thought. In addition, the doctors do not believe the drug dependency issues are as severe as first thought."

On August 13, the actress' mother Dina said that the actress would be returning to New York.
"As a parent, you have to let her go a little bit," she told Today's Matt Lauer, recalling when her daughter, now 24, first moved West. "When she went out to Los Angeles when she was 19, I had to let her go and let her live and fall and fail and survive. Without failure, there's no success. I was there in close proximity, but you can't make your child not go out and go to a club and not get behind the wheel of a car. I certainly don't condone any of that behavior.

Taylor Lautner sues over $300,000 trailer

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - The 18-year-old "Twilight" star has sued an RV dealership for not delivering his customized rig in time for the shoot of his new movie "Abduction."
In a suit filed Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Lautner claims his dad, Dan Lautner, negotiated with the Irvine, Calif.-based McMahon's RV dealership to deliver a $300,000 customized 2006 Affinity Country Coach RV by a June deadline so the star wouldn't have to rough it on the set of the thriller "Abduction."
But the deadline allegedly passed, causing Lautner and his Shark Kid Entertainment to sue for breach of contract and fraud. He's seeking unspecified damages.
Considering that Lautner is scheduled to spend most of the winter in Louisiana filming the third and fourth installments of "Twilight," Twi-hards will be hoping that this dispute gets resolved quickly.
